Snoop Lion, formerly known as Snoop Dogg, is well known for his charitable exploits.

Having engaged in a gun buy-back program in the past, which intended to get firearms off the streets, Snoop is now launching his own brand of dog food called Dog For Dog.

Dog For Dog is a dog food, but it can be eaten by dogs and humans, and with every purchase a bag of Dog For Dog is sent to an animal shelter that needs it.

Snoop Lion elaborated further on the venture on the Chelsea Lately show:

“It’s a great cause see because what people don’t understand is that a lot of these shelters, they execute these dogs not because they don’t have a place or someone that wants to adopt them, it’s more about they don’t have food to feed them.”

It’s always good to see an artist giving back, no matter in which form that charity comes.
